Why the Glacier Bike Tour with the eBike?

The many meters of elevation gain and long stages make the eBike the ideal choice for this tour. Thanks to the electric assistance, the steep climbs can be mastered efficiently without exhaustion diminishing the enjoyment. Furthermore, an eBike allows for longer distances, allowing you to fully concentrate on the impressive scenery.

The right equipment

E-MTB Full Suspension

A robust full-suspension eMTB with wide tires, powerful brakes, and a dropper post is ideal. The stages are designed for a battery capacity of 625 Wh, but the charger should still be handy for recharging along the way.

Riding technique and fitness

The route runs over gravel, asphalt, and easy trails . It's technically easy for experienced mountain bikers, but challenging for classic touring cyclists. Confident handling of an eBike in alpine terrain is a prerequisite. Never ridden in the Alps before? Slowly work your way up to day trips until you feel confident enough.

What should I pack?

The Glacier Bike Tour is available as a GPS track – either via Komoot, SchweizMobil, or directly on Bosch eBike Flow for Kiox 300 displays. Please note that GPS data may vary by ±15% in elevation and distance depending on the platform. GPS tracking is definitely helpful, but you also need weatherproof gear: Even in summer, it can get cold in the Alps. A well-thought-out packing list is crucial. In the Alps, the weather can change quickly. Weatherproof gear is essential.

Who is the tour suitable for?

This 370 km route with 9,500 meters of elevation gain is perfect for eBike riders seeking a mix of athletic challenge, spectacular scenery, and cultural highlights. However, a certain level of riding technique and basic fitness is required.

The Glacier Bike Tour is a unique experience for anyone who loves nature, challenge, and adventure. The eBike makes the tour even more accessible, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Alps without excessive exhaustion.

Whether as a sporting challenge or an enjoyable journey – the journey along the Glacier Express route is unforgettable!
