Otinga

Otinga is a German start-up that develops innovative bicycle panniers for the luggage rack that can be transformed into backpacks. The company was founded by Karl Fischer and Leander Mellies, who had the idea of creating a multifunctional bag for cyclists when they were just 15 years old.

One of Otinga's standout products is the Flip V2, a 2-in-1 bag that transforms from a pannier to a backpack in seconds. Thanks to waterproof materials and welded seams, the contents stay dry at all times. Furthermore, the patented folding system protects the carrier side from dirt and moisture while riding.

Another product is the Handlebag, a versatile handlebar bag that can be transformed into a sling bag after being detached. It offers a waterproof valuables compartment and attaches securely and rattle-free to the handlebars with Fidlock magnetic buckles.

Otinga places great emphasis on sustainability. The materials used are made from recycled polyester, and the company offsets its CO₂ emissions by supporting environmental projects such as Moorfutures, which is dedicated to the rewetting of German peatlands.
