Avinox drive

Definition:
The Avinox drive is a powerful, intelligent mid-motor system for e-bikes – especially e-mountain bikes – developed by DJI, known for its drone technology. It combines low weight, high performance, and modern sensor technology with an innovative operating concept.

DJI (Shenzhen, China), in cooperation with the bicycle brand Amflow .

    The Avinox drive uses more than ten sensors (including IMU, cadence, gradient and acceleration sensors) to intelligently adjust the support level in real time.
    An auto mode automatically detects riding style, terrain and pedaling behavior.

The Avinox drive was first presented at Eurobike in 2024 and integrated into the Amflow PL e-MTB. Other bicycle manufacturers such as UNNO, Smartmotion, and Megamo also plan to integrate it.

With the Avinox system, DJI is entering the e-bike sector, bringing its expertise in drone technology to the drive concept. The result is a particularly lightweight, powerful, and connected e-bike drive system that particularly appeals to sporty riders.


Relevance:
The Avinox drive is considered a groundbreaking new development in the premium segment of e-mountain bikes and represents a serious alternative to established systems from Bosch, Shimano or Brose.
