Another great success for the young German-Swiss MYVELO Pro Cycling Team from Ortenau:
Jan Sommer secured the sprinter's jersey on the fourth and final stage of the prestigious Vuelta a Asturias – making a strong statement against top international competition.
Tactically clever for success

Before the final stage, the lead in the sprint standings was just six points. The goal was clear: Defend the jersey.
Early in the stage, the MYVELO team managed to decisively distance its direct competitors on the first climb. Jan Sommer then only had to reach the finish line within the time limit on the extremely demanding profile – which he easily accomplished.
By winning the sprint classification at the Vuelta a Asturias, Sommer has already clinched his second sprinter's jersey in just a few days, following his previous success at the Tour du Doubs. An impressive achievement that underscores the continuous development of the young rider and the entire MYVELO team.
Strong team performance on a difficult stage
Nils Brun also presented himself in top form on the tough final stage. The young Swiss rider rode a committed race and finished 23rd in the day's standings. This put him in a respectable 39th place overall – the best MYVELO rider in the standings.
Overall, the entire MYVELO Pro Cycling Team showed a strong and cohesive team performance – a particularly valuable experience in direct competition with experienced WorldTour teams.
Looking ahead 🚀
After this success there is no time to rest:
The MYVELO Pro Cycling Team will be competing at the GP Vorarlberg in Nenzing (Austria) on Thursday, May 1st – the next exciting race is waiting.
