After an impressive UCI 2.1 Tour in Sibiu, Romania, the Ortenau-based MYVELO team is taking a well-deserved summer break. The four stages from July 3–6 offered everything: steep climbs, thrilling time trials, and, unfortunately, a crash.
💪 Strong performances in the mountains and in time trials
Bernese rider Nils Brun once again demonstrated his climbing skills: With consistently strong performances on the three challenging mountain stages, he finished in the top 20 on each occasion and achieved a very good 17th place overall. In the final individual time trial on Sunday evening, he achieved 21st place.
Jan Sommer from Andwil also made a statement. Following his success at the Tour of Asturias (winning the best sprinter's jersey), he shone in Sibiu with an outstanding 6th place in the time trial ⏱️ and 7th place in the overall sprinter ranking.

Setback in the time trial
Unfortunately, there was a setback in the final time trial: Meo Amann from Freiburg, who was on his way to a top-10 finish with an excellent intermediate time, fell in a winding cobblestone section and broke his hand.
The entire team wishes him all the best for his upcoming surgery and a speedy recovery! 🍀
Summer break for regeneration
After these intense weeks, the MYVELO team is now taking a four-week break from racing – time for rest, recovery, and renewed motivation. In late summer, they'll be heading into the second part of the season with renewed energy! 🔥
