Strong legs, a cool head, and absolute determination – that's how Andrin Züger won the 2025 Arlberg Giro. On the demanding 142-kilometer course with a whopping 2,400 meters of elevation gain, the Swiss mountain specialist once again showed what he's capable of. In the end, he crowned himself the deserved winner in St. Anton, leaving a top-class field of riders behind.
Already on the first climb, it was clear: Züger would be a force to be reckoned with today. With targeted attacks and a clear focus, he set the pace in the leading group. Even adverse conditions such as wet roads, rain , and a short-term track closure due to rockfall couldn't throw him off his rhythm.
The decisive moment came on the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Here, Züger showed his full strength – a strong solo and plenty of racing instinct ensured that no one could overtake him. Visibly exhausted, but with a beaming face, he crossed the finish line first.
This performance not only demonstrates his athletic prowess, but also shows why the Arlberg Giro is a true classic —a race that makes heroes. Andrin Züger has definitely secured his place among those heroes.
