The Bosch BDU3360 drive unit is a mid-drive motor from the Performance Line series in the "Smart System". It delivers a maximum torque of 75 Nm , provides support of up to 340% of the applied pedaling force, and is designed for pedelecs with a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
It belongs to the generation of Performance Line drives with 75 Nm of torque.
It is significantly more powerful than entry-level drives from Bosch (e.g. Active Line) with approximately 40-50 Nm of torque, but not as “extreme” as, for example, the Performance Line CX with 85-100 Nm for e-MTBs .

Protection class: IP54 – robust against environmental influences
Operating temperature: -5 °C to +40 °C (according to data sheet)
Intended use: Pedelecs with 25 km/h assistance (not S-Pedelecs)
The BDU3360 is specifically designed for city and trekking e-bikes where powerful, but not excessive, assistance is required. Thanks to its 75 Nm of torque and Bosch's multi-sensor concept, it is ideal for:
Daily commutes with varying conditions (gradients, headwinds)
Bike tours with luggage or longer distances
Suitable for use at moderate to sporty speeds, excluding heavy-duty applications such as cargo bikes or sporty e-mountain bikes.

Quiet operation : Bosch describes the Performance Line motor as having a "barely audible" gearbox.
Adjustment via app : In the Smart System, settings can be changed via the eBike Flow app .
Robustness : IP54 protection rating and design for everyday use.
During installation and wheel changes, ensure that, for example, sensor and magnet arrangements are correctly mounted and that there are no magnetic interferences.
The motor assistance only engages when you actually pedal – no pedaling, no assistance.
Attention: In many cases, a replacement or upgrade of the drive unit may only be carried out as a 1:1 exchange, as compatibility systems (hardware/software) are strict.
Since control units, batteries and display are closely coupled in the Smart System, installation should be carried out by qualified specialist retailers to ensure optimal functionality.
