An e-bike water bottle battery is a battery for e-bikes that's designed in the shape and size of a water bottle and fits into the bike's bottle cage. It's a space-saving and visually unobtrusive solution for powering the e-bike or integrating an additional battery.
Form factor: Looks like a conventional bicycle water bottle and is mounted in the bottle cage instead of a bottle.
Capacity: Usually smaller than classic batteries, often between 150 Wh and 300 Wh, depending on the model.
Use:
As the main battery for particularly light, minimalist e-bikes.
As a range extender (additional tank) to extend the range.
Connection: Connected to the main system of the e-bike via a special cable system or interface.
Advantages:
Very light (often under 2 kg).
Unobtrusive and stylish.
Easy to remove for charging.
Disadvantages:
Limited range due to small capacity.
Often more expensive than traditional batteries when comparing the price per watt hour.
Commuters who prefer a lightweight e-bike with a discreet look.
Sporty riders who use the e-bike primarily as support.
Touring riders who want to flexibly extend their range with an additional water bottle battery.
